Vitamins and minerals to reduce Thyroid antibodies

Antibodies presence indicates active phase of disease but does not reflect severity.
Limiting diet to reduce antibodies.

This healthline article (lists all the important vitamins to load up on) points to low carbohydrate diet reducing antibodies. This is inline with  Isabella Wentz's suggestion to control blood sugar to reduce antibodies.

Vitamin D

Vitamin D is stored in body fat. you are able to hoard or compensate with weekly or monthly dose intake unlike Vitamin B12 or Zinc that need to be provided daily. I have been on 50000 IU weekly dose for the last 3-4 months which brought up my vitamin D levels from 13.3 to 30. 4 years ago I was at 7 and still functioned better, because I was young. Starting with vitamin D really helped reduce the fatigue. I could tell the difference in energy and would wait for my weekly dose eagerly. I will soon switch to daily 2000 or 5000mcg.

Selenium

Vitamin B12

For patients with Hashimotos, B12 should be at 500. The difference between B12 and vitamin D is that body throws away extra B12 daily but with vitamin D, you are able to hoard or compensate with weekly or monthly dose intake. I am going to supplement with 1000 mcg of B12.

Zinc

3 tbsp of hemp seeds + 3 tbsp of pumpkin seeds

I take about 3tbsps of hemp seeds each day which has 43% of the daily recommended value of Zinc for woemn. 1 tbsp of pumpkin seeds provides 20% of daily recommended intake. Like B12, body does not store Zinc, so it needs to be provided daily to the body.

Magnesium

3 tbsp of hemp seeds provides 174 mg of magnesium. 3 tbsp of pumpkin seeds will also provide 120g of magnesium. Add in a tbsp of chia or flax seeds and you have your zinc, magnesium covered.

You can also use FoodPrint app to see how much of these vitamins and minerals are present in your daily food intake.
