Its fun to see reactions of kids when they first eat Madeleine. 1st grader was like, after eating I thought it tasted like cake. "It is hard and it is soft". The 4th grader had a more elaborate idea of mashing the madeleine and then trying to fit into a round mould like a cake form anf frost it, but that wouldnt work because it would crumble and not hold. Another kid when she got the madeleine she asked for, mashpalooza began.

Marcel proust too must have had similar experiences and mystique with it as a child to write a book based on the nostalgia of it. We have so many future writers growing up with the madeleine memory in the pyramids of their mind.
