Came across this hyakumeizan - "The hyakumeizan, or “100 Famous Mountains of Japan” is a list of 100 Japanese peaks that, when climbed, supposedly give a mountaineer an understanding of the true nature of Japanese Mountains; the list was created by Japanese mountaineer Kyūya Fukada in his 1964 book NIHON HYAKUMEIZAN" by Susan Spann
