Yesterday after thinking about McDonald's intuitive advertising where a fry with ketchup on it in realtime was all that was on the box, I thought off how advertising is so similar to a rocket launch, where all the boom and fizz is with the rocket but its the payload or the product that reaches the orbit.

In Delizia!: The Epic History of the Italians and their food, author John writes about how Giovanni Rana thought that his surname Rana which means frog in Italian brought a touch of "warts-and-all" sincerity to the relationship of the brand with the customers.
