Moving from milk tea to green tea

I think I am at a space where I can now try to move to better fasts by skipping the milk in the tea in the morning. I had green tea in the morning. I did feel hungry sooner at 9:30 am. I decided to move the dinner to within 3:30pm. Since I napped, it came to 4:30pm which is a 7 hour eating window and still decent. I have to see how tomorrow goes.
This is going well. I have been drinking green tea in the morning. I might have to go back to 8 hour eating window and then get to 6 hours with time. It definitely is harder than milk tea. I try to coast till 10 or 11am which is protein shake time on exercise days.

This morning I tried very little black tea with lots of water in it. As a kid, once when were out of milk, we had black tea. I wondered how adults could have it. And now I am having it without sugar and very diluted. Soon I will move to only having water. Weight is at 138.3 now. I was at 149.9 on July 29, 2021. The weight gain was thyroid effect.
Exercising 3 days a week and walk on the other days. Day before yesterday was P90X total Body Plus. Yesterday since the lower body was aching, We did stretch X yesterday. Today it might be Kenpo.

Another 24 hour fast - my third
I have done 24 hour fasts twice so far to reduce body fat and have all the good benefits of autophagy. This third one is different. Usually I do a 4 hour eating window the prior day and on the fasting day, skip the noon or the first meal. This time I slept through afternoon and thought it might be better to skip the latter meal and see how that works out.
In an hour, the fast will be finished. Dr Goldhamer says that it is better to rest during fast. I find it fascinating that the same things happen during fasting and exercise. Been feeling good in the last few hours.

Get into the chart
I have about a month to get into the chart of this Ideal Body fat percentage. In 3 months, I should be at the athletic range.

Reducing your body fat percentage
This morning after walking for about 40 min, I sat down in a swign and felt the blood rush in the back of th thighs.
I found some body composition numbers from before thyroid issue. That wa sa year after my second baby. I am getting close to those numbers now with weight at 141 and body fat percentage 35.7%.
Two months ago my weight had increased to 149.9 and body fat percentage 39.9% . I knew something was wrong as I usually never go past 143. Blood test revealed Hashimotos. Having reached 40% body aft one day, I had this sinking feeling if this will ever stop rising.
Now with nutrient dense healthy ats, thyroid medication and intemittent fasting, I have been able to get the whole game under control. And lots of Vitamin D.
Continuing on intermittent fasting affects body fat percentage, I see it working well. Since Aug 16 or so I have lost about 2.2% body fat. I have been a eartly dinner person for many years now. I would have been easily hitting 12-13 hour fastig easily. In the last 2 months, I might have been in the 8 hour eating window but looks like 6 hour window works better for me. I have also been doing 24 hour fast whenever feasible. I want to keep it to 1 a week.
Today's body fat reduction was unexpected. I was doing ideal calculations of long term athletic ones, of how much fat I would have to lose but didnt believe that this short term change was feasible.

In about 2 months I have lost 4.3% fast. Having started intermittent fasting that works for me ie less than 7 hour eating window, I have lost 3% fat. Soon I will be in healthy range for my age. I am a person who likes fitness, so my goal will be to go to the athletic range.
If you are a woman below the age of 40 and have reproduction in your future, please do a thorough study of intermittent fasting effects on women do to the udnue stress on body.

Hashimotos and exercise
Earlier, I could do P90x. I could do an hour of elliptical and now I aim for 15 min and sometimes stop at 12min. Even the core synergetics which I did ok till the lunge exercise halfway, I could feel the upper body aches in the night. YogaX felt like a great relief. Cant tell which of the standing exercises in the first half of core synergetics caused the legs ache. Usually I go for yoga only when I need calming but today needed it more for the stretching. It is strange how our body changes with time.

How does intermittent fasting affect body fat percentage?
I have been doing intermittent fasting for a while. For years, we have been eating out dinner at 6pm and breakfast at 8am. That puts us in a 10 hour window. For me the 7 hour or lower window seems to work well. I have done two 24 hour fasts so far. I might shoot for one 24 hr fast for a week (I do have tea once in the morning with milk in it. I am now able to have it without sugar as it is ginger tea and it does not need sugar when it is freshly made. I also have tea closer to breaking fast. I drink lots of water in between), with a 5 hour eating window prior day. I am going to line these up with any feast days when we meet friends. In the last two weeks I have lost 2% body fat.
In the last couple of years I was very worried about the rising fat percentage. I am happy to have found a method that works for reducing fat along with other fasting benefits.
The second time over, the 24 hour fast even easier to do without too much hunger pangs. I was going to a friend's house for dinner and thought that day to be a good candidate for 24 hour fast.
On a day with mild sniffles, I threw caution to the winds and did add sugar in my tea, as I felt that I needed that energy. I had a banana at 10 or 11 am on two days of the last week, when I felt a bit of hunger earlier than the usual 12pm. Based on energy needs, some days the eating window does go to 8 hours.
Using autophagy to heal hypothyroidism. Last friday, I felt very positiive that the weight gain from hypothyroidism has come under control with about 8.5 pounds lost in the last 8 weeks of which 7.3 pounds was fat. Thats a 2.8% fat percentage reduction. In those last 8 weeks, I have become fat adapted. I am eating healthy fats and no snacking other than tea.
Intermittent fasting for people with thyroid issues. If you have thyroid issues and you are fasting, do take some carbohydrates during your eating window.
