At the library, I knew I was missing a program, it started when I started from home. When I am at the libraty and have renewed my card, I wonder if I could be allowed into the program, even though I have not registered for it. How can you not want to know, all about something?
What I did was break into a circle of people, even though I didnt want to. I was happy listening to them outside of the circle, but they made me join.
Next 40 min was a wonderful conversation of an experienced voiceover artist The Lady Known As Lou from LA. It wont be a surprise that it was fun to hear her speak and sometimes share stories of how she used a voice she heard in a store and got an assignment from that. Just like writers, voice over artists are voyuers in some sense.
Now having attended this class, how has my life changed? I am now more aware of the effect of sound, When EF Hutton speaks, I had to look it up and hear.
I got thinking about this and recalled, probably rhe interest in voice is from the recent book I started reading "The Sound of the Future: The Coming Age of Voice Technology". With more AI around, we can see the need for the representation of humanity through our voice. Recall the ereaders from two decades ago. There is something about emotions that can unjar you. Something about the undulating voices instead of the stationary ones.
Looking at the relics of the trains in a road park, I wonder in this constant overthrowing th existing tech and harbringing the new tech, keeping relics of the past, how will our coming generations look at the chatgpts, 2 decades from now.
When I think of this age compared to the age of the stars that are forming and are going to be here for billions of years, it does seem like we make a big deal of it all.
Its another day's story if how I made it to a talk on Astrophysics of why balloon experiments and why from Antarctica. Soem fun facts there that sun is a third generation star. Learned a lot about ballooning
I initially thought it was a program for youth. I wondered why not ask if I could join. Turns out its for everyone. I didnt realise how big these balloons get once they are at the edge of the atmosphere.
