Good Jobs Strategy

Author Zeynep Ton has chosen companies that we deal with atleast bi-weekly. Its almost like being in a class, when she refers to her group of students doing trials at different stores, you can go back to your experiences with that particular retailer. It is insightful comparing the models and strategies of Costco Vs Sams Club. I never noticed that Costco does not have aisle signs but who needs them.. dont you know already where everything is like the back of your hand, after so many visits. Their Less is More. I have been in the neighborhood of a Trader Joes and their magazine is fun to read.

I am Otter

I am Otter by Sam Garton

This story is of an otter capable of utter mess. The page spread showing the mess is so beautiful that I went into each nook and cranny of the page and laughed at what the things were. It is a humorous story. A tale of friendship in which a teddy goes through a trial. Poor Teddies always bearing the brunt of friends. The book has verses but because of its strong visuals, it is fair to call it a picture book.

Ingenious

Geothermal heating and cooling
This book can be read in one sitting. Author Jason Fagone introduces us to all the parties involved in the X prize race. The interesting participants, their background, how they heard of the prize, what they brought to the competition and how they ewnt about their design is all very well covered. The Shakedown was truly a nervous event to read about.
And did you know that Lindbergh too flew to Paris for a prize.

The Chicken Biryani, on the last day of monthly special looked eye candy with its trio of colours and had the fragrance of a perfume.
In 'Kahn', poet C K Williams, a protege of Kahn refers to his unbuilt masterworks. Will someone like Eugene Schieffelin try to build these works as restoration of the past.
