This is a very cute colorful story. Love the cute little spider that is hiding in all pages. Good story about what goes around comes around.

Luke and Lottie. It’s Halloween! 

My soon to be first grader said she would give a 100 rating for this book.
At first, when she looked at the cover, she was excited about reading this as she likes Halloween. She then asked where are the baskets when she saw that Luke and Lottie are going trick-or-treating. But we did find that the 'vampire dad' was holding the bag for the witch and the ghost.
A lot of attention was paid to detail. The tree in the background with fall colors. What a great idea of turning clementines into little pumpkins, banana ghosts. Creative!! Engaging for adults too with such alluring illustrations.
Her favorite part is when they went trick-or-treating, they got treats and went home. And they had lots of fun too. The End.
My favorite part is a witch mixing some magic potion to welcome the trick or treaters. You can spend a lot of time scanning though the little details of the witch houses. it all came together very well. I also like the groundedness of the story that one parent has to stay back to give out treats, which is what happens usually.

We have read Luke and lottie. Its halloween. Having loved it, we had to read this book too. This book is very colorful and cute. If itsnt already a trend, I think Easter could become as costumic as Halloween. That is what Luke and Lottie end up doing, wearing bunny costumes to the farm. And since the farm has many animals, you could wear so many other animal costumes, recreatig thematic costume event. The fun doesnt stop with this. Dad collects some branches for you can not guess what. It is reminiscent of another big big holiday. Liked the creativity of the author in bringing such great festivity to the festival.

Lately, I have been having Chobani and Dannon yogurts for lunch, so I was going to pick up another box and then right above it in the freezer aisle, I found skyr which I had just read of in Homemade yogurt and kefir : 71 Recipes for Making & Using Probiotic-Rich Ferments book. The plan was to have Costco pizza for lunch, but with skyr in the cart, I gave it a swirl instead of the pizza. Another reason is that I dont feel too hungry for pizza during lunch as I prefer to have light lunch with fruit and such things. 

I loved skyr. It is thick and does not taste funny. Can you imagine coconut and chocolate flavor?

I havent seen a cheese knife in action before. As soon as I saw this knife being used, I looked it up and found that it is also called a tomato knife. Do you prefer to cut the tomatoes stable side down or the unstable one? Usually in all the food shows, chefs lay the stable side down but for the tomato, because of its slippery skin, its hard to get the knife through. So I use the reverse side as I saw another friend cut it, long time ago. Thsi almost seems like the bigendian or the smallendian question.

This is a very good idea to choose a subject related to America and describe it in 100 words. the book is very consistent with itsstyle of a catchy picture about three fourths of the page and then the description. great way of getting kids to read history.

Long time ago, as a student, it was late in the night and we were studying hard and needed to eat somethign. When we went to a fast-food place, only their drive through was open. We walked there as we were carless and would walk everywhere on the campus. We were quite surprised to here that to get the food through drive-through, you have to drive through and not walk through. Some funny time.
