Having read O'Reilly's Building iPhoneand iPad electronic projects , I was interested in their 'iOS Game Development Cookbook'. Instead of specific projects, the book format of problem, solutions and discussion arms you with how-tos that would work for any project. If you know what capability you want to add in your game, it is easy to navigate the book to go that section. If you dont, then the book will give you an idea of the considerations you need to take such that your game wont crash and when its running, it transitions smoothly from active to inactive states, how to use UIKit, SpriteKit for your needs, managing multiple sounds.
