While reading this book, I realised some of the teachers following Done's suggestions.
One teacher "Interacts with students outside of classroom". She likes to see the kids at their birthday parties.
Eat lunch with students . Kids love the opportunity to eat with their teacher.
Write home when children are absent. This connects the kid home, recovering to the whole class and teacher.
Spirit Days. The best I have seen, was at a summer camp. A lady used her hair as a flower vase.
American schools teaching speaking as well as speaking with humor.
With all the show and tell, kids become experts at speaking.
First Chapter fridays, Book talk, Book tastings are all fun ideas.
