Buying telescopes

Telescopes are probably notorious for being hard to operate. What adds to the problem is its not easy to know which one to buy. Best bet is to ask those who own telescopes. You can find that out by askign someone who already has a telescope, if they have used it. The ease of first time use. Another told me about the better ones that do the setup for you like this Powerseeker 114 eq telescope I am hoping.

It is amazing how slowly the knowledge of stars can add to your astronomy dictionary adding onto what you already know. Its like panning a google map page to get more detail and then moving on. I started with Sirius at the legs of orion and now I am at Castor and Pollux, with their legs closer to Orion. To be able to tell a season looking at the stars or the place if you know the date and a look at the stars.
