I bought this book in Singapore in 2006. I tried learning through it but never made progress until few months ago when I started learning Japanese. Now I am able to connect my Japanese and CHinese studies through the help of videos.

I love these short videos of questions and answers. You will start understanding sentence structure as well as the repetition of words in the format helps remember words.

 In Japanese, I am moving into phrases. Sometimes I understand few words but not the exact thing about the sentence. It is funny but interesting. sentences

I have been watching Chinese videos too during exercise. I am alos learning Kanji through Heisig. Even part 2 is interesting now. 

Vocabulary is fun too.

Sometimes elbow grease is the thing to make some headway.

Sometimes idioms, watching subtitles in videos, listening. Its been 3 and half weeks since I practised writign Japanese but I knew that I was practising in all other ways. Repeating sentences from the video after listening to them. I didnt feel that I was out of touch since I was practising in so many ways. In movies, I am now noticing tiny details like the name of a kid on a football.
