The Power of Gratitude: Unlocking Hidden Treasures
The Power of Gratitude: Unlocking Hidden Treasures
Liked some of the quirky things to be grateful for - imaginations, questions, zipper. If you are thinking its all over the place, its because it covers all the alphabets. Great A-Z gratitude game. Kid asked about Earth day. If we celebrate it or not. We decided what we will do for next earth day. Also found that today is Llama Day, Christmas card Day.

Baumol’s cost disease
Its actually having the opposite effect. Society is polarizing along educational divides because service employees are able to command higher costs for their labor without a commensurate increase in productivity. Baumol’s cost disease is what got us here. pic.twitter.com/Xe7zDUrwtu

VCs: nice computing infrastructure you have. What if... we made it thousands of times less efficient... so we can add toll booths at every node. Which we would own. Ah, perfect! This is the new frontier!

Pricing Landscape
Raising prices like competitors?
Price wars that end bad with lowering prices?

Small personal angel checks
I once had another VC laugh in my face when I told them my personal angel checks are typically $5K.

Here's what I think about angel check size: https://t.co/uFivQBS8uD
1. Pattern recognition of opportunities
2. Listen to founders pitch
3. Write small checks

To Schedule or not
What is similar to Swipes app?
If you know beforehand that you want haircut then you are able to get a wait time from say Great Clips when you check-in online.
Sometimes I have these things I need to do - say make sweets for family, but with no assessment of how long it will take to make or when exactly I plan to do that. Leaves me in a scramble on the day, where I am squeezing early morning or lunch time to keep my promise. Another factor to think of is the energy on that day.
If we can schedule activities into categories say self-care and see the percentages in a week and check if we are maintaining the right work, health, love, play pie balance, that framework would prioritize which activities need to come in first in the long and short term.
I have now scheduled activities into 2030.
