this morning my little one was excited about getting a purple spoon matching her purple plate. She picked them herself. She said "same same".
I remember my boss telling that his kid was very specific about which color utensil was the selection of the day. Not just catering to your little one's whims but when you have their friends over, its great to have a selection of colors.
In fact my kid and friend have specific favorite colors that they chose in all things.
