A Very Public Offering: The Story of theglobe.com and the First Internet Revolution
I have not heard of theglobe.com, so I was interested in knowing about it. This book is a wonderful read that I am glad to have squeezed in 2018. From the beginning, it is a high-octane (referred so in The Valley)of the Boom). Recently I read a story of prayas analytics one day in a Wharton and another day when I wanted to know more about it, it made for a great story of the journey and the ups and downs of entrepreneurs. This book too is similarly gripping.
This is a very fast paced read.
I have never read of the details of a road show.
The lock up imposed by investing companies and not the SEC which prevents founders from realizing their riches.

Bears Make the Best Reading Buddies (Fiction Picture Books)
I dont know the connection between books and bears but it seems to be a thing. For example - 'How to Catch a Bear Who Loves to Read' by Andrew Katz.
The illustartions and the text are simple and cute. i loved the frame of all things that bears are god at to fit into the whar is needed of a good reading buddy. Very creative approach and making it fun to have a supportive and encouraging reader to get through a book.

Earlier I might have thought of crayons that snapped as waste - but I came across an inspirational quote that instead of worrying to put them back to gether, use them as too different pieces. Also called parallelism in hardware. Cause now people can draw with the broken thing.
Evan is so creative. he creates such magic with the broken crayons.
I loed the page where he left a shape uncolored as he lost the color green. It happens so much with my daughter, that in the homeowrk she relabels colors.
Evan even learns about the color wheel a bit about how he can makeup for some colors by mixing others.
The most bets part above all these things that I liked about it is that - Evan is in the picture as he is drawing. It is like he is drawing on a life size drawing sheet. i love the big paper, where you can express yourself loud.

In a recipe, I never thought I would read a 'Recommended Skillet'. Well, the reason is that would mean, that there are many choices available in size (I didnt know that before). Author Lucy Vaserfirer of 'Not your Mother's Cast Iron Skillet Cookbook' spends a good 10% of the book in introducing the CI (Cast Iron) skillet to novices. There must be many readers who have CI, MIA form cooking but hiding in the pantry. My hand is raised. Its because, I read something about seasoning. I didnt believe the wiping it in oil part after cleaning, even though that is how non CI pans seem to look after an ineffectual wash with the dish soap. Still, I never got the courage to cook with CI.
This book might chnage it all. Vaserfirer starts off her misteps with her two first CI skillets and the story ends up with a rack full of various CI. Who knew they were collectibles? Her passion for all things skillet is infectious and will rub on you.
Looking through the recipes, I realised that Chinese Flaky Pancakes ( (Mixing the dough with chopsticks)) are similar to Laccha paratha. Garlic rubbed Heirloom Tomato Melts. Did that do something to you? Spaghetti frittata - What a great way to spruce up leftovers? Skizza. Figure it out Einsteins.. Since things cook differently in a CI skilet, it is wonderful to look at all the pictures to. Can I make a flag out of those Elotes? Inside out grilled cheese sandwich - another gem.
