'Vegan London' by Serena Lee is just in time for Veganuary. Whats that you ask?
 Veganuary  - following vegan diet for a month.
There are photographs of some of the dishes as well as of the place which shows you a bit of the vibe. It is surprising that they didnt all start vegan. Some turned vegan. Some are more sustainability focused. Some have tried for years to make their vegan recipes work (Vegan Mozzarella from Brown rice), Some welcome your furry friends. Some have 'wingz' contest (Biff's Jack Shack). jackfruit wingz Contest. Look out for March. One settled in a double-decker bus. Never thought of it as a cafe place.
The maps at the end show you where these cafes are. If you wish, flip to those pages first, read of them by proximity, which might be the order you will visit them in. One doesnt have a fixed menu, which means multiple visits to sample it all.
You will see a trend of jackfruit as a substitute for pulled pork. I dound it intresting that PETA hands out prizes for the best vegan food. Vegan Prawns take home peta's top faux seafood prize. I have been to mock meat places and temples of Tempeh and Seitan (picked the nomer from the book) but never heard of vegan prawns and Tofish Vegan tacos recipe.
Junk food is when something has arrived. Vegan surely has with Vegan junk food. Best vegan junk food in London

Each company has its culture that is hard to pinpoint.
The authors of 'Nine Lies about Work' did a great job of pointing out the myths/lies of corporate world and with some research point out how to remedy them. I loved cascading meaning instead of cascading goals. The book shows you how to fall out of the forcing curve for performance and how to pay attention to your employees with frequent check-ins.
The later part of the book is about finfing your flow with work and eudaimonia.
The book stays relevant to the modern millenial office and its constituents and emphasises on the importance of story in leadership.

I Came From the Water: One Haitian Boy's Incredible Tale of Survival 

As a kid in a convent school, I read a story of Joseph and enjoyed it a lot. Especially the dream interpretation part of the sheaves bowing. I didnt know much about Moses other than the bush reference.

This was a good story to read with my child. This story is beautiful with a river running through many pages and a small baby in a basket as a motif. It is a testament to the generous hearts of many.
Later on we looked at a short kids version of Moses story and earthquake.

Loved the map introduction to Haiti.

GOA Kids - Goats of Anarchy: Angel and Her Wonderful Wheels:A true story of a little goat who walked with wheels by Leanne Lauricella

We read Polly and her Duck Costume by Leanne Lauricella. We recognised the book right away to be from the same farm.
If Polly's story was heart-waming, Angel's story is inspiring. Despite having lost two legs due to a frostbite, Angel receives love, care and cart at the farm, so Angel can go out and about the farm happily.
The illustrations are amazing with block colors.
