I have made some recipes from Pioneer Woman's blog but I think this is her first cookbook, that I am reading. Her list of ingredients is new to me. But the pictures of step by step of the recipes is satisfying. You know exactly how the final thing came to be.

Little Meerkat's Bug Panic will teach your little ones a lot of about using words to articulate their emotions and feel comfort from it. The Panic reminded me of the panic that I have regarding missing get down at the right bus or train stop. I wonder if may be I will be too deep in the bus that I wont get to the front in time to get down, before the bus starts back up again.
But imagine if 'your kid can empathize feelings of a person as 'scared, sad and worried' and know that it feels 'safe, relaxed and calm again' after something., then thye have enough vocabulary to recognize the signs and need of comfort both by self and others.
You must have seen countless parent- child conversations where the kids are overwhelmed by their emotions. Preschools do a great job of equipping your kids with recognition of their emotional states.
The illustrations are cute too.

I did wonder about this last night, how friends were congregating in little corners. To help it, we have a sofa close to the kitchen. Since it would be add for all to face in one direction on a sofa and talk, I grabbed a chair, so I could face the others. That was in the walkway.
Sinc ethe cooking was going on, we gathered around refrigerator, counter, between the refrigertor, counter and the dining table. A social scientist would have had fun tracing out steps. We never made it to the livign room.
