A friend is adept at making Ikebana arrangements. The way she put it, she is making it simple. It looks elegant to me with close attention paid to 

where the petals should

While she was making one, I didnt want to look too much, for privacy sake. to not see the frustration of things not holding up as desired.

The scene of arranging flowers in the house also reminded me of the knitting in Macbeth, something to keep the hands busy, mirroring the mind and then altering back with driving control from outside in.
