Left wing
with cascading
layers
of feather tract

many down feathers
on the path
disheveled

tiny morsels of red
and
feathers
proof of a bird

So is the
chatter when you
roll your window
down at a corner
with fountains and
blooming lantana

Or the visits
to the bower plant
hiding a nest
