In the dream
I saw a blue bird
with a long tail split
in two
the tail feathers had designs
like a silk cloth, maroon, gold
Another sticky animal
like in the 'gods must be crazy'
blue
I was warned not to have
anything to do with it.
We were close, I shoved
a camera into its mouth
Outside the office door
a blue- green beetle
lies dead on its back
