How much time to spend playing with kids?

Recently I got more conscious about spending time with kids.
One parent says, "Dont play with your kids seriously".
Which is the way to go? Let the kids decide, what they are comfortable with. Being there for them when needed or fading in and out as needed will prepare us and them for the potted plant theory of teenage parenting that is coming ahead.
When I asked on a day with lots of wonderful food, cakes, party and birthday, when I asked my first grader while cozy on bed about the favorite part of the day- "Playing carroms with you."
My summers as a child were filled with endless games with our landlords visting nephew who was an ace at carrom board as well as pick up sticks.

Checking their microchip to be update is another timely thing to do, if they take the flight approach to the surround sound.
This is for a day but when its your first holiday season, then there is lot more to do, to get the pet acclimatised to the changes.

The coolest thing about this gots to be the smart camera. If a product were to inculcate this paragraph, then such a product would be great for students, especially with a choice to revisit any older concepts or know further about an interesting thing, to keep those "hooks" in the brain to remember the concept.
It might be useful for presentations too, when you have more actions.

The 4th grader had a more elaborate idea of mashing the madeleine and then trying to fit into a round mould like a cake form anf frost it, but that wouldnt work because it would crumble and not hold. Another kid when she got the madeleine she asked for, mashpalooza began.
Marcel proust too must have had similar experiences and mystique with it as a child to write a book based on the nostalgia of it. We have so many future writers growing up with the madeleine memory in the pyramids of their mind.
