Venn diagram of learning

In a radio program, in a section on sportswashing, I came across sports economist.

The branches of knowledge keep adding.

While trying to learn something, you might have realised that you are leaning into something else which you might not be interested in learning about right away or is taking you away from what is important for you to learn then. I magine a Venn diagram for the subject you are learning eg says sports economics. You will have to keep narrowing down from the sports side and the economy side, know their basics and fall into the intersection of it, to address your specific goal of learning about sports economics. Again the subsectors of different sports, regions and impact might take you in on a ride on different straits.

Cognitive Flexibility Theory: Advanced Knowledge Acquisition in Ill-Structured Domains

"case to concept to other case"

Instructional design models for well-structured and III-structured problem-solving learning outcomes - Jonassen, Ambruso, and Olesen, 1992

how is Case A like Case B but not like Case C
- Like the difficulty of trying to market two very similar products as different.

Problem solving involves
(domain knowledge). However, it also involves
structural knowledge (information networking, semantic mapping/
ampliative skills (constructing/applying arguments, analogizing, and inferencing), and
metacognitive skills (goal setting, allocating cognitive resources, assessing prior knowledge, assessing progress/error checking) in the learner. Additionally, problem solving also engages
motivation/attitudinal components (exerting effort, persisting on task, engaging intentionally) and certainly requires
knowledge about self (articulating prior knowledge, articulating sociocultural knowledge, articulating personal strategies, and articulating cognitive prejudices/weaknesses)

content-neutral puzzles.

"No1 protection for cortisol is autonomy" - Fabritius

Why doctors go to school for that long? so that their training helps them work from basal ganglia during surgery.
