The Confidence Code: The Science and Art of Self-Assurance---What Women Should Know
From the atlantic article "“Confidence,” he ( Richard Petty ) told us, “is the stuff that turns thoughts into action.” Of course, other factors also contribute to action. “If the action involves something scary, then what we call courage might also be needed,” Petty explained. “Or if it’s difficult, a strong will to persist might also be needed. Anger, intelligence, creativity can play a role.” But confidence, he told us, is essential, because it applies in more situations than these other traits do. It is the factor that turns thoughts into judgments about what we are capable of, and that then transforms those judgments into action."

Culture
Culture is something which seems to be what I think of a lot. Yet another revelation. The more you can expand and call the different your culture, the diverse you get. instead of holding onto a certain specific, if you amalgamate and assimilate lot more and identify with it, its more certain that you will always feel 'in place' as what you expect to feel the same is also with footnotes that it is different and keeps changing.
A breakthrough in understanding culture

Not set up a subsidiary in the country since this may jeopardise the relations with its venture partner. The article says its to prevent HCL-HP fate. HP had 50% stake, JCL 26% and the rest 24% is public and financial institutions. It seems to be a common thing to go IPO with 25%.
