Grilling Tongs

Just the metal ones
get hot
making it no good
for grilling
Serving Tongs
they call them

Ones with a
rubber handle
are for grilling

But if you
grill after dark
then you need
tongs with
LED Lights.

Swathe of Colour

Although I mean swatch of paint, I keep saying Swathe and that too often.

At Birds of a Feather, for collage were small scraps of painted sheets,
like parts of a triptych.
Colour applied such that the brush's passage shows.
The white it swept shows
The colour that leapt shows
The colour that slipped

How to Celebrate your Birthday kit

A Kit from Dictionary is
a set or collection of tools, supplies, instructional matter, etc., for specific purpose

A Kit
replaces procrastination
of shopping
of making a shopping list

With all things in your reach
and instructions
you have everything but to do

Have you ever seen a boring kit?
Even the Eyeglass repair kit
like an expert's bag contents
and purpose is magic

A Kit is fun
like a cupcake
instead of a cake
mini pennants
spell BIRTHDAY
just the same

There's something that likes flowers

One Vase
Two Bunches of Flowers
Four Vertical Crystal Edges
Stick Stalks
Geometry ends there
Curves flow
Each flower
begins like anjali
ends in a thread

Anjali a cup
formed by palms
When the palms
are full of flowers
its Pushpanjali
when the cup
is a flower
its a Calily
