How Artists chose Color?

At a Furniture store, I saw a big painting of a Zebra Portrait. Only its an impossible Zebra with stripes of all colors. When do the artists decide to switch the color gear?
Today's painting, a horse with its face with multi color smears. there must be a time while they are working, when they think they'll put the horses' color and then go, there's something different about this animal that they are painting?

The Iceberg of Culture

I came across the Iceberg model of culture in The Business book.

Frida & Diego: Art, Love and Life

I had seen Frida's movie, been to Heard Museum during Frida's art display., read Diego: Bigger Than Life and still enjoyed reading this book 'Firda & Diego: art, Love, Life' for its pictures and paintings and the Mexican political landscape during the life of the artists Frida & Diego. I wasnt aware of Diego's effort to save pre Columbian Art and that Diego dabbled with cubism. Dr Atl is another reference that I take away form this book for further study.

The FootLoose American

Before reading this book 'The FootLoose American: Following the Hunter S. Thompson Trail Across South America", I had read the author Brian Kevin's book on Yosemite. Yosemite is a well covered place, yet his book had pictures and events that I hadnt seen in other books. so I was interested in this travel book too.
I liked the author's approach to travel of 'wandering around through the pleasantly pedestrian tableau' and 'grasping around for links with history.. compelled to travel this way, always sniffing around for the cultural-literary-historical significance of this or that'. All this overlayed on Hunter S Thompson's travels, getting an idea of various people of different countries in S America, the role of Peace Corps.

Icecream with many scoops

This icecream cone with many scoops is an out-of-the-box picture for me. The flower boquet kind is what I would come up with stretched imagination.

Pineapple Flan

The idea for Pineapple Flan came from a blender cook book

Imitation

To imitate life in a painting is bringing a 3D world onto 2D. A Hyper-realistic drawings by Ruben Belloso brings a portrait to be a protome

Rubiks cube Art

My friend sent this link to  Rubiks cube art
Most people usually have one or no Rubik's cube in their house.
A pattern on one cube would have set off the artist to gather more and coming to the realisation that the artist would need so many Rubiks cube is a crazy Eureka moment. Making icon pictures out of icon material is a hedged tete-a-tete with audience (for lack of a specific term for art readers).

All about the iGame

Having read O'Reilly's Building iPhoneand iPad electronic projects , I was interested in their 'iOS Game Development Cookbook'. Instead of specific projects, the book format of problem, solutions and discussion arms you with how-tos that would work for any project. If you know what capability you want to add in your game, it is easy to navigate the book to go that section. If you dont, then the book will give you an idea of the considerations you need to take such that your game wont crash and when its running, it transitions smoothly from active to inactive states, how to use UIKit, SpriteKit for your needs, managing multiple sounds.

Building iPhone and iPad Electronic Projects

The book explains how to use your iphone to make all the cool projects of metal detector, tricorder (not much into star trek to appreciate its need), bluetooth low energy shield. This process helped me understand my iphone and its innards better. The author had a good consideration about his audience being from a software or hardware background but not both and maintained that bridge connection to make the readers feel at ease. That said the book still requires a good amount of coding skill. since the book is about very specific projects, it caters to a very narrow niche of makers. The book would have done with a general expanse of applications and less detail.

Learning Web App development by Semmy Purewal
The tree diagrams are very helpful in visualising all the elements of a web page. In the process of building the example 'Amazerrific', you fist see the goal page and then break it up into elements on paper and then build them back up on the computer with code. This will build up the confidence of a newbie web developer. Once you get this part, you can build up and delve into more complex stuff like interactive and responsive design, working with java script, what cloud can do for you.

On the walk

a dead bird from yesterday
a bud light on the ground
a long cardboard tube
used for shipping or tube men
and a white plastic cloth hanger

PS: d I found a brilliant way of walking with the family. To keep pace with the baby, we take turns in brisk walking and walking towards the slow party after walking ahead to a landmark in the view, thus making atleast 1 and 1/2 distance.
