Class of the Titans. I like how the characters switch back and forth into modern times and ancient mythical time.
Thomas and Friends. For the first time I watched this. Episode of rescuing Hero, the oldest train that fell into disuse. Now you dont have to wonder why the trains get delayed, when they do.

The author is a raconteur. He plays the omniscient and fills in the gaps of history of both the main character and the place McCarthy. Each chapter starts with a picture, some introducing new characters into the story. The author has remained impartial by showing how Pap Pilgrim was perceived by his supporters and opposers. The town talking through the newspaper is funny. The alternating chapters of Papa pilgrim's previous life and present show the divide in him appriopriately.
The blurb takes a very Piped Piper of Hamlin take at Papa pilgrim and so does the town initially. But wish the book had a rating indicative of the abuse, but then I would have missed reading a good author's work.

When the book says Hadrian is a Roman emperor, I wonder whats Hadrian's Wall doing in Britain.
Asclepius was treated as a god. I think now I understand the Concept of hero. The Pergamon citizens believed that god spoke to them in dreams. In many Indian mythologies, gods appear to their devotees in their dreams suggesting ways for offerings.
